Just over a year ago a true legend of the guitar, Les Paul, died of complications of pneumonia on August 12th 2009. Arguably the greatest innovator of multi-track recording, echo effects and the most famous signature guitar of all time, the Gibson Les Paul, Les was a phenomenal guitarist who achieved a playing career of nearly 60 years!

CNN have put together a fitting tribute video on the first anniversary of Les’ death and interviewed some of the worlds greatest guitar players and admirers, including; Slash, Billy Gibbons and Al Di Meola.

Richard is a graduate of the Commercial Music degree programme at Bath Spa University and has a HND in Popular Music from Oxford College.
