Use this fretboard navigation exercise to:

  • Learn the notes on the fretboard
  • LH finger exercise
  • RH string-skipping exercise
  • Hybrid and alternate picking exercise
  • Finger strength and independence

The Exercises

 

 

 

 

This first exercise is a forward triangular cell and uses strings 1, 4 and 6

 

 

 

 

This exercise is a reverse triangular cell and uses strings 1, 3 and 6

 

 

 

 

This exercise is a forward cell and uses strings 2, 4 and 6

 

 

 

 

This exercise is a triangular cell; built from the fifth string and uses strings 2, 3 and 5

 

 

 

 

This exercise is a forward cell and uses strings 1, 3 and 5
