RIP David “Honey-Boy” Edwards ~ 1915-2011

The last of the Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen David “Honey-Boy” Edwards has died of congestive heart failure at his home in Chicago aged 96.

The Grammy award winning blues guitarist and singer had still been performing well into his 90s and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award in 2010.

Honey-Boy was famous for tracks like ‘Just Like Jesse James’, ‘Long Tall Woman Blues and ‘Gamblin’ Man’ as well as being a personal friend of legendary Robert Johnson.
