MonkeyFest 2012 Cancelled

With news of Sonisphere, Big Chill and a host of smaller festivals being cancelled recently it is with no surprise that yet another music festival has been pulled this summer. MonkeyFest 2012, brainchild of internet guitar guru Rob Chappers, has been axed after the relative success of last years festival that saw the likes of Guthrie Govan, Andy James and Jess Lewis perform to punters at Bisley Pavilion, near Guildford, UK.

“I am absolutely gutted to say that MonkeyFest 2012 will not go ahead and has been cancelled. My sincere appologoes for any inconvenience this has caused, all tickets will be refunded before the date we had planned for MonkeyFest – Just email me at and I will personally deal with it.” – Rob Chappers

Richard Perkins is the founder of Bath Guitar School and has worked for the International Guitar Foundation, Brit Awards, Rockschool, B&NES Council, Mid Somerset Festival, Bath Music Plus, and appeared on BBC and ITV television and radio programming as well as being featured in Guitar Techniques, Total Guitar, Venue, Bath Life magazines and the Bath Chronicle newspaper. Richard is a graduate of the Commercial Music degree programme at Bath Spa University and has a HND in Popular Music from Oxford College.
